No Media Bias Here -- Part II

In the interest of presenting an unbiased, even-handed debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates has selected a middle-of-the-road moderator for the US Vice Presidential Debate on Thursday night, Gwen Ifill.

Oh wait; I'm sorry I just made a fallacious assumption. Silly me.

Seems that Ms. Ifill -- in addition to working for the ever-even-keeled PBS -- has written a book called The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama, which chronicles "Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign."

With a book coming out that assumes (or at least imagines) Obama being the next president, Ifill won't financially benefit from an Obama presidency. Nothing like a moderator with a vested interest in one side of the argument winning.

Nope, can't possibly be any leaning towards the Obama camp here.

According to columnist Michelle Malkin, "(Ifill) recently penned a fawning cover story on the Obamas for Essence magazine (called)... The Obamas: Portrait of an American Family.

I am sure that it was a level-headed analysis of the Obama family, and read very similar to the piece she did on the McCain family.

Sorry, again; Ifill hasn't written a glowing piece about McCain's family. My bad.

But, I am sure Ifill will leave her personal admiration at the door on Thursday night, right?

I mean, her reportage of Palin has been fair. After all, according to World Net Daily, Some viewers complained of a "dismissive" look by Ifill during her report on Palin's (vice presidential acceptance) speech.

Oh well.

Nope, there's no bias here
